Plan your training. Don’t go to the gym without planning your training. It is always good to have a plan so you will have a smooth training or exercise session. It is not helpful if you just go to one exercise machine to another. If you do that, you won’t build your target muscle groups effectively. So be prepared by having an exercise plan. Keep a diary if you think that it will suit you. Always record your weight, rep range, and time. Use a watch so you can track your time between each and every set you do in the gym.
Wear the proper clothing. You must always wear the proper clothing while in the gym. Tight clothes are not advisable as they prevent you with the freedom to move while you work out. So, you must wear the proper gym clothes that are not too tight or too loose.
Drink plenty of water. Water is always helpful while you train and exercise. When you sweat while you lift weights, you lose water and electrolytes from your body. So you must drink regular amounts of water before, during, and after each exercise session.
Proper Diet. A balanced diet plays a key part in every body building plan. Your diet must contain all vitamins and minerals that you need to build strong muscles and develop the endurance to lift weights. You will not gain body building success without the proper diet.
Warm up. You must not immediately start on your reps and training. Do that after you have warmed up. It only takes you 5-10 minutes to warm up your muscles. If you don’t, you will place your muscles at risk from strain and tears. Cardio warm up routines should not be more than 5-10 minutes. You should warm up each muscle group once.
Appropriate technique. Incorrect lifting techniques might put you at risk of injury. When lifting and bending, you must always have a good stance and balance. Bend with your legs and not with your hips when you lift weights from the floor. Good body mechanics can help prevent muscle strain, muscle tears, and damage on tendons and ligaments. The worst injury that you can get when not lifting correctly is a bone fracture. So, lift appropriately.
Don’t lift too much. Lifting too much weight is a big no as you could injure yourself. This is one of the important body building tips. Use only weights that are suited in the rep range you are suppose to work with. Don’t over do it because instead of making progress you might end up in the hospital.
Don’t lift everyday. It is not advisable to train everyday. You need a day between sessions. This will allow your muscles to grow. You will have better results if you don’t lift weights everyday.
