Many people have the wrong concept about muscle gain, not everybody who strive for muscle gain wants to be a body builder, they simply want to be bigger than they currently is. It is no longer difficult as soon as you start watching what you do, and some of the more effective way to gain muscles is listed below:
1. Balanced Diet: A balanced diet is important for gaining muscle mass. More protein should be added in the diet to gain muscle. Protein helps in building new muscle and helps in repairing of injured muscles. Milk, eggs, fish, and other non-vegetarian sources of protein like seafood can be added to the daily diet.
Also, intake of carbohydrate should be increased. Also, intake of Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) should be increased. EFAs help in controlling damage to the muscles during heavy workouts.
2.Extra supplements: Balance diet aside, it is also essential that you allow your body to take in extra supplements when you are trying to gain more muscles. Minerals such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, selenium can all help with your goals, not to mention that supplementing your body with Vitamin A, B, C, D, E and K can also help with increasing your muscle mass. That said, you should always consult your doctor before you take in any of these supplements.
3.Keeping yourself hydrated: Water in your body is essential and important during workouts and muscle gaining, thus you want to make sure you have adequate water intake to reduce any damage or accidents during workouts.
4.Eating more frequently: Smaller meal intervals at a more regular and consistent level can help push your metabolism even faster, which can help with fats burning. It is better to have 6 meals which makes up your daily caloric intake rather than 3 traditional small meals, this way your body would not be storing any fats from the additional calories that you might take daily to get bigger.
5.Rest days: You also need to make sure that you have adequate rest days in between your workout days, make it a point to rest your body at least once a week to promote muscle growth and repair. Make sure you also have enough sleep every night, 8 hours of sleep per day is recommended.
